Go to Bacharach - yes I know it is a Rick Steves' favourite - but he is RIGHT. This is a nice little pension with very friendly owners who make great restaurant and hiking recommendations. Fairly quiet, very clean, typically good German breakfast. Central to a really neat little village - lots of walks up the hills in the vineyards... more

My wife and I just came back from a very nice weekend in Bacharach, staying in the Pension Winzerhaus. Our room was quiet, very clean, and had its own bathroom/shower. An nice B&B located in the vineyards. The staff was very friendly and spoke good english. Breakfast was excellent. A good value in the tourist city. Also have Bikes avil for use. more
