I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. A perfect location and easy walk to the harbor, the bus stop, restaurants, etc. and to the winding streets of the old city. Location aside, we love the charm of the place, the silence at night when sometimes the only noise is the wind from the harbor and the occasional lost tourist. I... more

What a charmer! We loved this old place. Our suite was simply decorated with Naxian lace and locally made hand-carved furnishings. Deliciously cool marble floors, and lush plantings in all the common areas (including a fig tree growing that reaches all the way to the third story of the open-air atrium). We enjoyed views of the sea and the temple... more

Comments based on 1st floor sea-facing room & 2nd floor rear facing room Location In the heart of Naxos Old Town, minutes away from the museums, shpps & restaurants and the harbour. Steep steps on the way up from the harbour. Staff/reception The staff we met didn't speak much English but then I don't speak much Greek so we were... more

Hi, we stayed here this summer and after looking through the reviews below realise we should have spotted what a mistake it would be. The owner was so rude and kept our identity documents. Despite comments below I am told this is not normal in Greece and very illegal. We were treated poorly and the hotel itself was a little... more

An independent, cosy family-run hotel with excellent views over to the harbour and some spectacular sunsets. Ask for as high a floor as possible. Offers far more than your average tourist hotel. Not especially luxurious but well appointed (pretty, traditional and interesting rooms with personal touches such as Naxian lace throws and antique furniture). Hot water and spotlessly clean. Simple... more

Naxos was the 2nd Greek Isle my husband and I visited on our honeymoon. Upon arrival by ferry, we headed to the Tourist Information Office, as directed for check-in. We were greeted by Despina, the owner. She immediately offered us an upgrade to an apartment in town for no additional charge. We took the offer. Someone was called to help... more

We arrived on Naxos this summer and went to the Tourist Information Office at the end of the pier. We chose Chateau Zevgoli and were incredibly happy. We had a beautiful, well decorated room, a nice kitchen, balcony, and patio. It all over looked the main town and provided a stunning view. It was more expensive than other hotels on... more

We arrived on Naxos with no reservations and the Rough Guide. We got the last room but had to move the next day so they arranged to put us up in the walled portion of the old city which was fabulous. Since I do not speak Greek, I appreciated the staff and owner's patience as they made every effort to... more

The Chateau Zevgoli was delightful. It is situated right near the Venetian castle, up a labyrinth-like street. Everyone who worked there was exceptionally warm. We first found the hotel by going to the tourist center, where we met the owner, Ms. Despina. She was so lovely to my sister, mom and me. We stayed in room #10. I would recommend... more

My husband & I stayed at Chateau Zevglo for 4 days/nights in May '07. We were absolutely charmed. Everything about this hotel was delightful. First of all, the location is fantastic. Close to everything, but very quiet!! And, they had, by far, the BEST breakfast of any hotel we stayed at during the 3 weeks we were in Greece. The... more
