Well the lesson is: Read TripAdvisor! It was shocking to be so insulted by someone and the change from polite and friendly to outright hostility when we refused to give our passports was a sight to see. Maybe non-English speaking peoples are used to giving such identity cards but I have never seen it before in 10 years of travelling.... more
