Located in the fascinating old city, right below the Venetian Castro, this hotel is lovely. It is a series of rooms with small balconies overlooking an enclosed garden, with views to the sea. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful - the breakfast was delicious. You must be willing to walk some steep medieval steps to get here, but the... more

We went to hotel Anixis on our honeymoon. It is a beautiful hotel, small, has only about twenty rooms. Our room had a humble four poster bed and a spectacular view. It is a family run hotel situated in the Kastro, high above the town, the views include the copper dome of the Metropolis Cathedral, the ionian gate and hora... more

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Anixis in May 2008. I always prefer to stay outside the major tourist hub, and in May, the Anixis offered a true glimpse of local Naxos. Though just a short (once I learned my way through the meandering alleys) stroll to the port, in the immediate area of the hotel I... more

I stayed at Anixis Hotel on August 2007. Hotel director was awaiting for us at the port (I recommand to reconfirm your arrival date and time). Do not panick if you don't see him with his shuttle, he will probably be waiting for you a little bit appart from the port, because it is verrrrrry crowded. I highly recommend to... more

We had a great time in Anixis. A nice hotel, close to the Kastro. Quiet in the evening and night and during the day. Friendly people, clean room, nice vieuw on the see. Breackfast was okay; self service. A lot of flowers in the garden, that bloom in the evening and night. A lovely smell! If we ever go back... more

My girlfriend and I spent 6 nights at Anixis recently. This followed 5 nights in Santorini in a hotel with a beautiful pool, so when the hotel manager, Dimitris, picked us up from the port in the morning and dropped us off we thought "basic but ok". After 6 nights, we did not want to leave. The hotel is basic... more

Anixis is a beautiful hotel in the old part of town, a confusing maze of stone alleys, full of charming restaurants and... cats. Rooms at the Anixis seem to be equipped with 4 poster beds and are decorated with period vases. OUr suite even had a living area with a chaise longue. There is no television, which i personally saw... more

The manager collect us at the pier, otherwise it is difficult to find (the same for everywhere in the old quarter in fact). But once you offload your luggage it is fun to explore and get lost in the quarter (somehow you will manage to get back to the hotel eventually) ! The room is comfortable with TV that can... more

Stayed at Hotel Anixis for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. As it turned out, we were glad we chose to stay in the old town of Hora (Naxos) rather than on the beach - it was charming and had lots of character, walking distance to restaurants, shops, the port and transportation. Since we had a rental car, it... more
