Stayed here in early July for a couple of weeks and was definitely pleased. The rooms are simple and yet cozy. Housekeeping was great and always kept the room very clean. It is right along the coast so the scenery is beautiful and makes walks extra nice. The owners were gracious and friendly and I would definitely stay here again.... more

We waited until the last minute to try to find a budget hotel for St. Patricks weekend. We tried all the recommended Rick Steves and Frommers hotels, not wanting to spend a fortune, but everything was booked or out of our price range. Seeing the favorable Tripadvisor reviews, we decided to give Clontarf Ct. a shot. My husband and I... more

We had this hotel suggested to us by my Brother, who lives in Dublin, friends of his have stayed here before. If you are wanting a Reception & Concierge then this is not the place to stay. However, we were dropped off at the hotel door and entered through straight into the pub, the friendly bar man checked us in... more

23 of us stayed for one Saturday night at this hotel, 11 adults and 12 children. The layout is a little strange as you enter via a pub (which incidentally serves a lovely pint), go down a corridor past a Chinese Restaurant that also is in place in the premises and up the stairs or the lift to your room.... more

My brother booked us at the Clontarf Court. He always stays there when he's in Dublin. When we walked in to the pub to check in I was reminded of Cheers. "Johnnie!!! Good to see you!" exclaimed the innkeeper. When we went back into the pub in the evening the pub regulars were equally as friendly. The guest rooms were... more

We were in Dublin for four nights at the end of May. I tried to book a room recommended in the Rick Steves Ireland book but they were all full. I stumbled across this one on the Internet and decided to take a chance. It turned out to be a worthwhile choice. The place is part of and behind an... more

I had been booked into the Clontarf Court Hotel by my company and it was only on the day before I left for Dublin that I checked out this website and read the (then) two reviews. ‘Worst Hotel Ever’ said one. Oh, great. A lovely start to a meeting. My company usually provides pretty decent accommodation so I e-mailed them... more

After reading the most recent review I was completely nervous about our intended stay here in February. We were attending a wedding up at the 'castle' but could not afford the 5*prices they quoted, so opted for the Clontarf Court instead. We arrived mid afternoon and were pleasantly welcomed by the staff (indeed he was behind the bar) who give... more
