When I learned about this hotel through my friends at JDBhotels.com, I thought they must be engaged in hyperbole or at least we exaggerating. Having stayed for a few days, I can assure you it was every bit as beautiful and relaxing as I was led to believe. There is a bing cherry tree, if you are lucky to be... More

La Sosta is a real haven. Beautiful, secluded, views are incredible and the service is really excellent - the family know the area and advise on trips, restaurants, beaches, activities etc in a way we found very helpful. Access is via a leafy lane from the windy road down to Levanto but once you get there you can really relax... More

La Sosta is delightful if difficult to reach. I called as we made our way there on Sunday afternoon to say we might be a little late, as they normally close the office at 18h00 (we made it by 18h15). After following the directions, which probably couldn't be written much better but read like a scavenger hunt ("This parking space... More

My wife and I just spent 5 nights with our 3 children (4,4,7) in this very special, quiet and small hotel in the hills just 5 minutes by car from the see with the most wonderful view over the see/landscape. If you are looking for a hotel with 24 h pool service and nightlife don't visit this place but if... More

Our Virtuoso travel agent selected this charming, historic small hotel for our stay in the Cinque Terre region. We found the hotel and its owners a welcome change from the hustle, bustle of the larger Italian cities. We were warmly welcomed, treated like family, and treated to wonderful breakfasts and a gourmet dinner for two complete with an excellent wine... More

We chose this place to relax after a few wonderful but hectic wedding days - and could not have wished for a better place to do so! Our room was bright, stylish, plenty of room for italian standards. Huge bathroom! Our hosts were very nice and friendly, and their cooking is just delicious! One of the best meals we had... More

We chose La Sosta from Alistair Sawday's website and booked before reading the reviews on this website. "Oooh dear", we thought, what have we done? What we had done was choose the perfect place to recover from our long flight from Australia. La Sosta will appeal if you like peace and quiet (notwithstanding that you do not need to pack... More

Like a number of the reviewers we would have to say that there are a some good elements about this hotel, which are quite frankly spoiled by the very poor hospitality. The location is very good, with great views over the hills and the sea and the rooms are a good size and fairly well appointed. However, you are continually... More

We had a fantastic stay here, the room was large, clean and brilliantly decorated and furnished. Our bathroom also. Breakfast was delicious and the view just amazing. The people who run the hotel couldn't have been any more helpful or gracious, giving us invaluable local knowledge and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. And, for the standard of... We absolutely loved our time at La Sosta di Ottone and wish we could have stayed longer than two days. The breakfast was very good, the view was amazing and the rooms, nicely decorated and immaculate. Jo, the owner's Canadian mother, went out of her way to give us information on the Cinque Terre and even dug out some old... More
