Torre Macauda situated less than 10 minutes drive from the beautiful town of Sciacca is an undiscovered jewel on the southwest coast of Sicily. It offers everything from sun, sea, sand, fun, theatre, music, dancing, comedy, great food,wine and brillant company. If you are looking for the real taste of italian culture we believe this is the place to go.... more

We stayed at two different properties on the island of Sicily, the Torre Macauda being the first for 3 nights in late May. The pluses: room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The minuses: lack of basic amenities starting with no potable water in the room -- if you wanted drinking water (and who doesn't?) or anything to drink at all... more

We booked the holiday as a short break, with an on-site Holiday firm, assuming they would book us into a suitable resort. The Hotel, it turned-out was occupied by 99.9% Italian holiday makers.
