After several visits at Gigliotto, we decided to celebrate the birthday of my husband at Gigliotto. We invited friends and family (29 persons), all from Denmark, to stay with us 3 days. Even the wether was bad, we enjoyed every hour. Laura and Elio Savoca made it possible for us to give us and our guests the best party we... more

a fantastic location, beautifully renovated farm courtyard/buildings. We only stayed 1 night, so the room we had wasn't special ( hope there are better rooms for longer stays) Pool was extremely busy- seemed to be lots of local people there too, not just guests- it was a weekend. Good meal on the terrace, and plenty for breakfast. It all just... more

We stayed at Gigliotto one day/night on the way to Syracusa. Location is very convenient, next Piazza Armerina i.e. half way between Palermo and Syracusa. The stuff is welcoming and the farmhouse and surrounding fields are spectacular. The room was simple but convenient. On the way to Gigliotto our car got in the mud slide in the mountains in heavy... more

My fiancee and I stayed here 1 night with a view to deciding whether to book Gigliotto for our wedding reception next year. We were very excited as it is (reportedly) recommended in the Michelin Guide. At dinner, we waited almost 15 mins before a basket of bread, bottle of wine & bottle of water were 'plonked' unceremoniously on our... more

This was our favourite place to stay in Sicily, friendly reception from a lady who was learning English, lovely location in a vineyard, good food.. The courtyard was a good place to relax. It was a bit cold for the pool, but it looked a nice one. The food was very good and authentic Sicilian and mostly home grown. more

The location, buildings & pool are what make this an excellent place to stay, but the food was disappointing and there was dangerous building work going on right outside our room (even though we had been given confirmation that this would be finished by the time we arrived). The food was served by a couple and their primary school aged... more

We stayed here after our friends recc'd it. They were absolutely right, great place. The rooms were lovely, right overlooking the vineyard, nice showers, wonderful breakfast. The managers are Romanian, so a bit more abrupt than some might be, but overall were helpful and nice. The wine was delicious, by the way. The pool is quite nice too, and it... more

My husband and I stayed at Gigliotto for the last two nights of our first trip to Sicily. It is in a lovely location surrounded by Vineyards and great views. We had a reasonable welcome but did arrive at lunchtime when there we a few coach parties eating so it was busy. Our room was in a lovely location off... more

We stayed in Gigliotto for 3 nights in June 2008. Is is a lovely, quiet, newly renovated place situated in the middle of vineyards. Unfortunately the service of the staff (mostly romanian) is a real disaster. Ostile, rude, non trustfull. It is a really pitty because staff is crucial in the hospitality industry. However during the evenings we found "asylum"... more

We were on our honeymoon in sicily in april. We were originally planning to stay in Enna (don't bother) and stumbled across gigliotto. It was just what we were looking for - maybe not super-sophisticated, things were maybe a little chaotic - but the owners and staff were v friendly (the most genuine and friendly we met in sicily), the... more
