Had wanted to plan a skiing holiday to Arabba for some time and finally got around to it in January 2009. Due to the cost of the Euro (against the pound), I was somewhat limited in the accomodation options I could affiord. Garni Erica seemed very reasonably priced so i was a bit wary of what i would find... specially when i arrived at 1am on my first night after getting stuck on a mountain pass in a blizzard! But i needn't have worried, Erica was brilliant. She got up to let us in and was up in the morning to make us breakfast. There is a ski room with heated boot rack downstairs, and the rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfasts were big (which you need when skiing!) and the owners were lovely (even though i can't speak Italian, we managed to get by with gestures and smiles!).

Arabba is a fantastic place for skiing (although maybe not the best place if nightlife is high on your criteria!). Garni Erica is a short walk through the village to the ski lifts. No hassle. more
