We had no idea what to expect and couldn't have more delighted with our apartment. Sylvia greeted us and was so helpful with direction, restaurants, etc. We really felt at home and the wine was delicious, of course. Stay here if you find yourself in Tuscany! more

There were 4 of us for 2 nights. My pair was in the Villa. The other pair was in the Cottage. The Cottage is closer to the action. It's right above the Spa and Breakfast Room. Our room in the Villa was secluded, with a fabulous view. The gardens were spectacular. We arrived early so our rooms were ready yet.... more

Our fourth or fifth trip here since 1999 Found it on Internet as most people seem do thru their association with Much Ado About Nothing being filmed here for 6 months. We agree with all the positives in other reviews. We usually stay in the villa. This last trip was followup to a cancelled trip from November a year ago.... more

My family and I just returned from a week at the Vignamaggio. I chose it because of the TripAdvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. The location is excellent and central for day trips around Tuscany. Greve is a nice little town, and Florence & Siena are very accessable. We had some great days by the pools, played tennis, and... more

Whilst we didn't stay at Vignamaggio (we stayed further up the hill) we attended one of their Wine Tasting Dinners which included a tour of the Villa Vignamaggio, aperitif in the cellar and a buffet dinner afterwards. The tour was surprisingly interesting, the generous quantities of food and wine at the dinner was exceptional and the chance to meet and... more

The grounds and villa are simply amazing, and the restaurant was terrific as well. Our one-bedroom suite in the main villa was spacious and spotless, but could have been taken up a notch style-wise... but when you're enjoying the grounds and the surrounding area, the room itself tends to matter not so much! Definitely our favorite hotel of this Italian... more

Villa Vingamaggio - highlights: Location is Tuscany at it's best - as we drove towards the villa I had my fingers crossed that the lovely Villa I spied in the distance was our destination. Such good fortune - it was. The grounds are beautiful and from what we could see this appeared to be the most beautiful Villa in the... more

We stayed here for the first two nights of our honeymoon. I was disappointed. For the rate we were paying and the description of the hotel, I expected more. The staff was not particularly friendly. I never heard of the dinners, etc. that I read of on TripAdvisor. The property is beautiful, location ok. But with just a bit more... more

This is the ideal place to stay in Tuscany! It was our second visit and it just gets better and better. The rooms are charming and relaxed. The people that run it are never bothered by a question....no matter how obscure. The weekly tasting dinner is 5 star. There are little cookies left around the main area. They are a... more

Since we had read a lot of reviews in tripadvisor and found the two extreme review which is 'love the place' and 'disappoint the service'. So we really don't know what we can set our expectation in this place. After we spent 3 days in this place. We found that we stayed here too short. We really don't want to... more
