My partner and I stayed at the self catering Urbamar apartments in Quarteira for one week. When we first arrived, we felt a little disappointed as the apartment seemed so basic. It consisted of a fair size living area, which had two single beds (with bedding that had definitely seen better days!), a large table with chairs, a open plan kitchen area and a seperate bathroom (including a bath). The kitchen was fairly well equipped including cutlery, crockery, kettle, toaster, pots and pans etc. Although there was a television in the room there were no other frills, no a/c or even a ceiling fan (you can rent a fan from reception!). There is also a small balcony. Once we'd settled in, we felt a lot happier as it was a great location (5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants) and the people were friendly and the weather fantastic.
