The only regret I have is not having stayed more than one night at the Quinta do Passadouro. Ronald and Jen are excellent hosts and I recomend very strongly that everyone who stays there have dinner at the Quinta. It is a lot of fun to have dinner with other guests enjoying the magnificent scenery and the superb wines offered.... more
Quinta do Passadouro was our first night in Portugal. After travelling from Denver Colorado, USA to Lisbon then driving to Quinta do Passadouro we were exhausted. Ronald met us gave us a glass of wine and I sat in the charming garden while my husband checked us in. Immediately I started to unwind. We had reservations for dinner that night... more
We stayed at Quinta do Passadouro in May 2008 and can only recommend the place to all travellers in the Douro region. The house is situated at the slope of a quiet and lovely valley about 8 km from Pinhao (therefore keep in mind that it takes you about 1 1/2 hour to Porto or 30 min. to Vila Real).... more
