We spent three night here. We had a standard room just off the breakfast room which had its own terrace and view of the Douro River. Marvelous setting for this unpretentious elegant hotel. Nice quiet BB located right on the river bank. There is absolutely nothing to do except for go around on wine tasting in the region. The hotel is nice and has a great ambiance. more

Nice hotel, great scenic view of the river and the iron bridge. Restaurant food is ok but not spectacular, make sure you avoid the dining room and always eat out on the terrace, where there is a cool summer night breeze and a great view of the river. more
