We stayed one night at this hotel on our tour of the Golden Ring in Russia in August 2009. The rooms are fairly basic. Pretty comfortable but no style (or Soviet style). The hotel is fairly basic, but it's clean and everything works. The room we had smelled vaguely smokey but it didn't seem like they had non-smoking rooms. The location can't be beat, right in the center of town. more

Hotel Sokol is a lovely little hotel, in a great location across the road from the trading arcades. Rooms were a good size & very clean. Great breakfast, but it is very much you eat what is left in front of you not what you request, but it's all good so you don't mind. Eating in a little bit pricey... more

Great newish 3-star hotel right in the centre of town. My room was perfectly clean and comfortable. A comforting breakfast is included. The front desk is helpful but staff on duty may speak English or not at all. No internet or wifi facility. more
