Avoid it.

Perched on a hilltop you can enjoy a wonderful view from Hotel El Moresco - but absolutely nothing else. Carpets were worn, decor was run-down and tired looking, paintwork was battered and furniture was cheap and nasty. Room decor was industrial in style and in no way homely.

Bathroom water pressure on my 9th room was very low, with hot water shower producing a pitiful trickle. Cold water was no problem if you don't mind a cold shower in December.

Breakfast and dinner were buffet format, involving much queuing, pushing and shoving among the other 200 guests

Evening entertainment, TV lounges and card game rooms were provided for the guests, mainly Spanish pensioners at the time of my December 2004 visit.

Don't for one moment be mis-led by the impressive appearance of the hotels exterior and its position - you will be disappointed once inside. more
