Molino de Saladilla is a nearly 300 year old marble cutting mill complex which has been completely renovated with working horse yard. We organize high quality rides in small groups for experienced riders. The high quality of the property and its facilities has you all you need as a non-riding guest, and is a great place to relax after having enjoyed a great ride. This is an authentic Spanish experience. It is located in a small green valley, yet on the edge of the town of Coín (via a steep uphill path), only 30 minutes from Málaga airport and Marbella but well in the heart of Andalusia with good connections for great activities and amazing sights.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the most amazing time! I will be back annually that’s how lovely it was! Rides with Miranda and Giles were so much fun and I felt so welcomed. I have found my tribe! We were a small group which was perfect and Katia fed us so well! The horses are well schooled with the softest mouths! I rode Guitana and she was amazing to ride and such a funny character! We negotiated who got the apple during our breaks on the ride! I am in love with her! I felt my stay was too short next time I’ll do 7 nights with 5 rides instead of 4 nights and 3 rides! It’s a no brainer book the riding holiday it’s a rider’s dream. Long scenic rides with bits of canter and almost gallops! :)

We had one of the most remarkable holidays ever this April, riding for five days at Molino De Saladilla and we give full marks to Giles and Miranda. For a start, horses are lovely. They are clearly loved and well cared for, and they give back the love they receive by being well behaved and genuinely eager to please their riders. The hosts were wonderful, always cheerful and welcoming and happy to chat and pour you another glass of wine. The place really has a family feeling. The food is good, with an excellent service from the lovely Cati. The accommodation is pleasant, with a private garden and a charming little pool where guests can relax. Last but not least, the other guests were all fun people and able horse riders and it was a pleasure to go out with them in the country. We would recommend this holiday to all horse people, but keep in mind that, in order to make the most of this fun-packed holiday, you should be a confident rider, as there are many long canters across the sunny Andalusian hills or the riverside eucalyptus woodlands. "One of my happiest moments in years!" We very happy with the overall experience. We had a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The facilities/pool and accommodation were all very comfortable. Our main purpose was to go riding and having been introduced to our horses we set off to explore the stunning countryside of Andalucia. Giles and Miranda are passionate about their horses and about ensuring that each and every rider has the best possible experience. The food was home made and delicious! Thank you to the whole team.

The Hotel is private owned and is situated in a paradise in the middle of Coin at Rio Bajo. You are surrounded by beautiful nature and horses. You can make your own dinner or participate in a lovely dinner together with the other guest. A visit at Hotel Molino Saladilla is such a personal experience ful of atmosphere. I am looking forward to soon coming back. Best regards Helle

We stayed here on room only basis, but what a room. Lovely place in a semi rural location with a pool . It is within walking distance of Coin although a very step hill to get there. We are an older couple and managed it. They do breakfast if you want it for an extra cost but we didnt try that. The riding group seemed to have a fabulous time and had been coming for years. Their package included a ride most days and full board most days. We will come again.

This was my third visit and standards were as high as ever. The moment you arrive by complimentary taxi you receive a warm welcome from Giles and Miranda who will do anything to ensure that you have a perfect stay. The accommodation and food were both excellent. Perfectly mannered quality horses and stunning scenery. Every year I take a riding holiday world wide and this one is up there with the best.

I visited this place with my boyfriend and his family and I've had an amazing time! The accommodations are nice and clean. The owners Miranda & Giles are very welcoming and provide you with everything you need. The location is great: the centre of Coín is within walking distance and other must-see places are very accessible by car (you can hire one at Málaga airport). Overall the atmosphere of the place was perfect. I would totally come back here and also recommend it to others!

This is a very well organised set-up with both the hospitality and riding sides being well run and Miranda & Giles going above and beyond what could be expected. The place is an oasis of calm and tranquility, the buildings sympathetically restored and furnished in local style. My room was spacious and airy with a well-appointed bathroom. It had its own private patio with sun loungers, table and chairs. Miranda, Giles and Katy (their excellent cook) are good company and mealtimes were fun. The Spanish horses (mostly PREs) are beautiful, very well looked after, well trained and sure-footed. I stayed for a week and had five half-day rides on four different fit forward-going horses over very varied terrain and routes. Their Barefoot saddles were extremely comfortable. Very green at this time of year, the countryside round about was stunning with mountain views, orange & lemon groves, rivers, almond blossom and spring flowers. Miranda very kindly provided me with lots of photographs of the rides to treasure. When not riding, there was plenty to explore in the town (10 minutes on foot), a walk to a local place of pilgrimage and there were also buses going Malaga (well worth a visit) and Marbella. I also joined in the weekly Pilates class held next to the pool. It was a fantastic break and I hope to go again.
