We found this hotel listed in our Frommer's guide and it sounded charming and unique, so we had the taxi driver take us there from the bus station. We thought we would stay one night and I think we ended up staying three. The hotel is very centrally located and it is actually in some renovated rooms in a private house. We found it to be wonderful.
It is the owner's ancestral home and it is quintessentially Spanish. She runs it with help from her son. The owner is learning English but she is quite apprehensive about it. Her son speaks fluent English.
Ubeda itself is also a place to stay a while and simply soak up the ambiance and culture.
