This hotel is not 4 star and is ripping people off. It is dated, worn and well overdue a complete refurb. The rooms are musty due to damp caused by a lack of sunlight. The trees on the complex provide too much shade, meaning balconies get no sunlight. They also attract mosquitoes. There is no relief there, I’ve been covered in bug spray all week and still bitten badly. The hotel is unkempt and run down, paint is cracking everywhere & the wooden structures are worn. The pool is not big like some have said, and I can’t imagine how busy it would be to be here during high season. They also allow smoking everywhere outdoors in the hotel and people will smoke all over you. The sun loungers are filthy, some have mould on them! It’s a family-oriented hotel, you’ll be woken by screaming children and deafened by them all day long. I say that with no malice, but it’s a consideration if you want a relaxing holiday. The meal times are suited to young families too; awake early and in bed early. The all inclusive service ends at 11pm! They clear the food following each service within minutes of the last opening time. It’s actually obscene how obvious they make it. The food in the canteen is absolutely awful. Bland, repetitive, not fresh, and at times raw! At first glance you would think the buffet is plentiful, but it’s Day 9 for us and so far the meat options have been either a fried chicken breast or fried fish each day. Last night for the first time they had lamb chops as a meat option. The bread is stale, salads are covered in flies and the other items are repeated each day. I added peppers to my salad today and found mould on them. They regurgitate stale food in the form of casseroles or garlic bread and throw random meat into pasta and call it “ragu”. Yesterday at lunch, the chicken was raw. See attached photo. As stated, meal times are very strict and the sullen staff will literally shoo you out if you stay a minute past the meal times. On one occasion at 9.32pm, so 2 minutes after the last service, a waitress slammed her cart into my boyfriend’s arm when passing and didn’t even acknowledge him or the incident. We have noticed that the staff are working killer shifts, on the late night one then back in the following morning, so I’m not surprised they act with contempt towards the guests. There is zero self-serve here except for soft drinks and water, you’ll queue for anything else, including coffee in the morning. Never have I had to ask for the basics in an all inclusive. During the day there is literally one place to get any refreshments, the pool bar. The queue can get long. The pool snack bar serves the same soggy, trash food each day. Pizza slices, sausages and chips. The fruit seems fresh though. There is no room service, no water provided in the rooms except for 1 bottle on Day 1. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, and the first opportunity to get a coffee is when breakfast opens. After 10.30am you’ll have to wait until the pool bar opens at 11 and queue for one. The resort is completely German-language friendly, so if you speak English you’ll be outnumbered and struggle to communicate. I actually speak fluent Spanish having lived in Spain, yet have been met with contempt when speaking it to most staff members. Staff for the most part are unfriendly and unhelpful. Case in point, my boyfriend injured his back this week. We asked for them to call us a taxi one day as he can’t walk. We were told the taxis are on strike and won’t come to the hotel for short trips. No other solution was offered to us. We were told the bus goes regularly, but given no info on times, location, price, etc. We had to wander around (with my boyfriend in agony!) trying to find the bus stop only to find they are absolutely NOT regular! The buffet doesn’t allow you to take food out, so when my boyfriend’s back was really bad, we literally had to resort to ordering takeout from a local restaurant. That in itself made me want to demand a refund. Every single night they have a kids disco that lasts for 2+ hours and repeats the exact same music until around 9pm. Then some form of entertainment will ensue which is poor for the most part. The best entertainment was a 3 man band one Thursday night who were asked for 3 encores. Any other night the cheesy dancing/karaoke/magic show is just pathetic. Cocktails are good, the wine is surprisingly drinkable, and the selection of drinks on AI is pretty decent. 1 in 3 bar staff are very nice. These are the few redeeming qualities about this hotel. The cleaning staff also do work tirelessly, but early, and unless you’re out of your room by 9.30am, your room might not be cleaned. We were woken most mornings by the scraping of furniture from both guests and cleaners alike. On our final day, the DND sign disappeared from our door, so now we don’t even have the option of keeping people out of our room! Anyone who thinks this resort is 4 star or worth the money, respectfully, needs to travel more. On the whole, a big waste of our money and a massive disappointment. …
