We travelled to cala bona from 19th July - 26th July... The journey out there was a nightmare but that was nothing to do with the hotel it was airport /TUI issues. When we first arrived I was very deflated as the room that we were given on the bottom floor was not what we had expected, it was dark, run down and very small with no real views as the balcony was on the floor. It was in serious need of updating/cleaning.

I straight away went over to the floriana Hotel (which is where you have to check in) and stated that this was not what I had expected especially as I had requested a higher floor months before we had arrived.

They told me that the hotel was at full capacity and that there was nothing that they could do to resolve our issues.

We went straight into the pool after a long day of travelling and delays feeling very downhearted.

After about 15 minutes a member of staff came up to me and stated that they had managed to find a room for us due to a cancellation and had asked for us to view it to see if we were happy.

This room was 3104 on the first floor which was a hundred times better than what we had firstly seen. It was twice the size, with a bigger living area, the kitchen was seperate and not in the living room and the balcony was twice the size.

We extremely grateful that the hotel went above and beyond to help us maximise and enjoy our stay... We could not fault any of the front of house staff at all.

After settling in, we absolutely loved our hotel and location. The pool was lovely with not too many sunloungers crowding the area. We chose this hotel as we wanted a quieter more Spanish feel to our stay and that's definitely what we had. The snack bar around the pool was brilliant and great value for money.

4. 50 euros for a big tasty omellette, ice lollys about 2 euros and soft drinks were similar with a pint of beer for 3 euros.

We had full access to the floriana Hotel (as our hotel was the sister of this one). The pirate ship pool was fantastic for our 4 year old son but was always very busy so we usually went over later in the afternoon each time we had a pool day.

Cala bona is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and has a beautiful harbour to visit with several different restaurants serving amazing food. Definitely try la tasca right by the water edge if you like steak or fish. We ate there 3 nights in a row and the waiters are so friendly.

If you are looking for a beach with turquoise waters and white sands, you have to visit cala millor which is in the opposite direction to cala bona Harbour if walking. When you hit cala bona beach, turn right and keep walking.

Its about a 20 min walk from hotel but 100% worth it... We absolutely loved every second of this beach.

Overall we loved this holiday, the location, hotel and beaches were perfect for a family holiday and would definitely return to this hotel.

Staff were amazing, especially in the snack bar. Food in the snack bar was well priced too with a meal deal menu for every day. Rooms felt a bit tired but fine. As others have mentioned lack of mirrors was a small issue too.

My only issue was the cleanliness. Although the rooms are attended 5 days a week and the maids do a fair job, the actual apartment grounds and pool felt like they needed a good jet wash. There were days where there was no litter pick around the pool, there was also a chocolate ice cream that had been dropped and melted on the Monday, and the stain was still there on the Saturday when we left. Not as clean as some places I have stayed but still acceptable.

Apartment location is in an ideal place, just a short walk to Cala Bona marina with all the bars and restaurants and then a slightly longer but easy walk to Cala Millor. Overall a really enjoyable stay.

Stayed here for 1 week at the start of May with husband. Had previously emailed asking for a top floor and this was granted which was great.
I was a bit apprehensive due to us booking a studio apartment but my mind was put to rest on arrival as studio was larger than expected and the kitchen area was actually separate. The studio was spotlessly clean, fresh and modern. Cleaned and towels changed 5 days out of 7 (no service on Wednesday on Sunday).
The pool area was clean and plenty of sunbeds but that was due to us being there at start of season, was getting busier as the week went on, I think it would be far too cramped in summer. The pool bar staff and lifeguard were on a rotation and changed everyday, be warned there is one member of staff at the pool who was playing music from his phone and it kept dropping so you had to listen to 15 seconds of song again and again, very tiresome if you’re trying to relax! You can also use the pools at the sister hotel which is good but again the sun loungers are very crammed in.
Staff very friendly and helpful!
We need the apartment for an extra day due to having an evening flight, unfortunately we couldn’t have same studio but were moved to an apartment in sister hotel which was great and only cost 32Euros.
Would definitely stay again!

We had such a lovely family holiday at this hotel. I emailed the hotel a few weeks before we arrived asking if we could have a ground floor room as we had a double stroller and two young children. I was pleasantly surprised that they had noted down my request and we were given a lovely ground floor one bedroom apartment. Check-in was easy at the sister hotel, 100 yards up the road, and the porter from the hotel helped us put our suitcases into a cart and drove us down to our room.
There was a vending machine in the reception of the apartment blocks that we were able to get some bottles of water for the night as we arrived late.
The location was quiet and around a 15 minute walk down to the promenade where you could turn right and walk along to Cala millor, or turn left to Cala Bona. The walk back up isn’t ideal in the heat if you struggle with mobility. The nearest shop is at the bottom of the road next to the beach so if you were wanting to get a good amount of shopping in for the week, I would recommend getting a taxi to Aldi in Cala Millor.
The rooms were clean and the pool was brilliant for younger children. We always manage to get sunbeds even if we had been out in the morning and arrived back around 1/2pm.
Food at the pool bar was lovely and staff were great. We would definitely come back again and would always recommend this hotel to anyone.

Just returned from a 10 day stay here and it had everything we needed.

The apartments are the sister hotel of Floriana Resort which is just across the road. You check in here and will then be taken over to the Bahia Azul by golf cart. The person who took us was very helpful and carried all our luggage up to our apartment on 2nd floor. Note there are no lifts.

Our apartment was a great size, clean, plenty of storage, comfy beds, great shower. They are cleaned 5 days a week and maids are very accommodating. They will come back later if you are still in apartment and not ready for them to come in.

Great pool which is on the smaller side but my 7 year old daughter loved it. Also note it’s changed from some of the pictures. See my photos of how it is now. No matter time of day we went we were always guaranteed a lounger.

There is a pool side bar open between 10-6 selling drinks and a range of food from breakfast, sandwiches, pizza and more. Rafa who works the bar and kitchen does a great job. He is very friendly, accommodating and very hard working!

If your interested in kids club, entertainment, all inclusive this is all at the Floriana which you have full access to. We only went over once, it was a lot busier with more going on but we preferred the quieter side at the Bahia.

It’s 10-15 mins walk to beach and harbour where there’s plenty of bars and restaurants. In the other direction it’s also walking distance to Cala Millor which is a bit busier and bigger.

Recommend Maria’s for breakfast/lunch which is 5 mins from hotel. She is a lovely lady and makes you feel very welcome.

If your looking for a delicious dinner highly recommend Sol Floriana which is just right next to the apartments.

Just spent a week here on self catering basis. For the price we paid this place is excellent, at this time of the year. I can imagine at the height of Summer it could be quite hectic and noisy. The pool is not the biggest but you can you use the pools at the sister hotel, across the road. We did this and the vibe appears to be a bit more relaxed. One bedroom apartment adequate for us but it would be nice to have some wine glasses/larger glasses than those supplied. Kitchen utensils, fairly basic, but we had no intention of cooking meals. Pastries for breakfasts and baguettes for lunch. Air con worked well. Only things i would really like to change is the shower, over the bath. Please invest in screens, rather than the curtain, so fat lads, like me, don’t get wrapped up, every time we shower. Please supply items for washing up, sponge, washing up liquid. Also a full length mirror needed for the ladies. Pool/snack bar decent prices and the guys were very good. All areas kept clean and tidy. We did have the early morning towel gang, towels out then off out for breakfast, but because of the time of the year we were able to get a sun bed when we needed. I would guess this would be a big issue at busier times of the year. Easy walk down into CalaBona.

Really nice apartments very clean and comfortable. Cleaners attend 5 days a week and do a lovely job fresh towels and bedding etc.
The pool is small but nice and plenty of sun beds we went out all morning and could always get sun beds for our family after 1pm around the pool. There was no getting up early in the morning to save them I found..
Staff were friendly.
The only slight disadvantages to the apartments I could find was I was on the 4th floor and with no lift it was hard especially after we have had to walk it back up a slight incline which takes about 10 minutes from the resort front.
But we got the room and flight for a good price so it was worth it.
I would recommend. But if you have walking difficulties get a low room

We had visited Mallorca the previous year, and thought we would stay in a nearby area, just a long the coastline, as it was so beautiful, but as a self catering option to save a few pennies, as we all have to at the moment. We arrived at the hotel t around 2am, and dropped off on the payment with no reception area anywhere around. After a few of us wandering around I the dark for 20 minutes it was discovered that the hotel is split into two sites, with the main reception up and across the road, which would have been useful to know. After finally getting our keys, minus directions to the actual apartment we had booked, my partner found our new home for the week at the top of four flights of stairs. Not the most helpful on reception that evening. Anyway, eventually got in and just collapsed on the bed, opting to unpack in the morning. The next day, we woke up to a lovely madern apartment, and we were lucky enought to have the top floor sun terrace, which was huge, with fantastic views of the surrounding areas, although the sea was too far away to spot. Nice clean little kitchen, with everything we needed, and good size wardrobe and storage for both our clothes and all our bits and bobs. Bathroom was also lovely and modern, and we were overlooking the pool and bar area of the one pool over on our site. No lifts up to your rooms, so be warned if you have any trouble with breathing or mobility, as it could prove difficult if you happen to be in an upper apartment. They do offer half and full board, and the restaurant looked almost identical to the Tui gold hotel we had previously stayed in, and the food choices were very similar too, even though this was a blue Tui site. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, not as close as I hoped, but nice tree lined streets, which give some much needed shade as well as being very picturesque. Our air conditioning failed on us a few times over the course of our holiday, and our area of the hotel was pretty quiet in the evening, so you have to pop over the road for evening entetainment, where its a bit more lively. All in all, a decent holiday, nice apartment, and good cleaning service. Laundry on site, just up the road, and a fantastic restaurant just around the corner from the hotel. Ideally would have liked it a little closer to the beachfront, which was very active most evenings, with beautiful sunsets as always. We watched a thunderstorm fron our huge balcony, which my partner loved, and fireworks on another night, so glad we were up at the top apartment in the end. Would definitely consider returning, but half board next time, cost of living permitting!

Lovely spacious apartment, very clean, maid service 5 times a week with fresh towels, plenty of hot water, very comfortable. No hair dryer in room or iron, although I think you can obtain one from the reception, at an extra cost. Additional charge for safe in room.
Pool was clean, plenty of sun beds, but drinks were served at the bar in paper cups, like costa coffee cups, which is not very appealing. I appreciate they do not want glasses around the pool area, but at the poolside bar a glass should be given. Serving a cocktail in a paper cup was disappointing.
Apartments in easy walking distance of main high street and beach.

We had an amazing holiday and would definitely recommend these apartments but these are the negatives to point out to those that might be bothered - sink has no drainer so bring t towels with you as it took 5 days for us to receive one. Also bring/buy bleach to clean stained kitchen worktops that are covered in tea/coffee stains as they don’t bother. Maids don’t clean they just change towels and makes beds. We only stayed for 7 nights so compared to previous holidays this was poor but it didn’t affect our holiday too much.
