We stayed at the oasis d'or at the beginning of August and arrived very early hours of the morning! However Mario senior was there to welcome us and was very friendly. The room was very basic and slightly small and looked out onto the road (with a nice distraction of palm trees in the way). Its very hot in Majorca at this time of the year and the room was stifling but once spoken to Maria, we hired a fan from reception which was only 5 euros for the week. Breakfast was different everyday but always fresh and Mario Junior was always charming in the morning. The hotel pool was lovely and clean and had plenty of loungers and was a welcome change from the heat! You are based right in the middle of town and Cala D'or is a great place with lots going on. They have so many choices for eating out and every night we ate somewhere different which was always followed by a flaming cocktail (which is a show in itself) in one of the many bars in town.
