We enjoyed our week at this hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival. We hired a car from the airport and mostly used this to go to Puerto Portals but we did take on those hill climbs a couple of times! Good exercise but if you are less - abled a car is best. Just spent a week at Costa Portals, the room was OK the location was lovely - but what a shame - the food was awful and most guests were very disgruntled and ate out, the reception staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. The bar is closed from 10am and 6pm and inbetween those times you can get nothing to eat... more

My friend and I have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at the Costa Portals hotel .When I stayed there 2 years ago with my husband it was fantastic,the staff were friendly the food was good,bar open all day.Oh,how it`s changed! This is a good place to chill-out. Located in a very hilly but quiet residential area. Not recommended for those seeking night-life or those not able to cope with walking up and down steep hills (unless you have hire car). Rooms are cleaned and towels changed daily. Staff are pleasant. Fantastic relaxed Hotel. Friendly staff and lovely location although the surrounding area is a bit hilly. Lovely selection of food and well prepared. Could not fault this hotel, all the staff were very helpful. more
