we just arrived from a 10 day holiday o monteverde. the hotel is very nice and clean, central location lots of shops and walking distance to the beach. the food was great. do not believe the bad reviews. it was really nice. i will definetely recommend to a friend. more

went with my 12 year old grand daughter . met some great people had a laugh . during our ten day stay the hotel ran out of butter at breakfast ,no substitute offered gas to cook lunch , ice cream , ice , beer , soft drinks machine in dining room gave up the ghost . food cleared away ten... more

I'd like to add a good review because I had a great week here. The hotel closes for the winter and has only just opened again so there were only about 12 guests. The staff were very cheerful and helpful - most of them could speak several languages. I gather the hotel's under new management so give them a chance... more

myself, husband and two children stayed at this hotel along with my mother, father,two brothers and grandmother. We just thought we were going on a cheap and cheerful week away relaxing with my family. Thank god we did not book two weeks! A week was more than enough! I stayed there at the same time as Sarah and her little boy! I too found the German receptionist a bit fraught, and saw the guy being carted off to hospital... Other than that, the hotel was good for a 2 star. I was on my own and it seems got one of only a few rooms with a telly!... more
