Excellent hotel, staff welcoming, we had a small problem with ants in our room on the first night, but we were moved to a larger room and offered help to move our belongings, a note of apology was left along with a bottle of bubbly in a bucket of ice. This hotel rightly deserves its tag as number 1 hotel in lanzarote. Having tried other 4 star hotels on the island (Occidental Allegro, Papagayo Arena) the Costa Calero must be close to a 5 Star. Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel from the 29th June 2008 for one week. Upon arrival, whilst we checked in we were offered a glass of champagne or orange juice which i thought added a nice touch. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. They went through everything from room facilties to catching the free bus into town.... more
