Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I chose this place for the location, which is perfect. However, not everything about it was. Positives: The staff were friendly, helpful and wanted to give good service. The food in the restaurant was good and the atmosphere also was good. The cooked breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I liked the addition of blueberry pancakes on the menu. Room decor was tasteful and beds comfortable. Room balcony afforded excellent views. Negatives: The outside of the building looked shabby. The room was very cool when we arrived. Milks on the room tea tray were out of date. The tap in the bathroom leaked onto the floor. The shower temperature was hot and couldn't be turned down. The curtain rail came apart in the middle. The decor in the public areas was tired and needed updating.

Arrived and wondered if we had made a mistake to stay here, the outside was very tired looking and not very inviting. Walked in and was greeted with a friendly welcome, the room itself was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, being on the beach front the weather hadn’t been kind to the windows & door window to the balcony. Also the radiator in the room wasn’t on not sure wether they hadn’t the heating on or it just didn’t work as there was also a very small oil radiator in there, which we had to switch on as the temp dropped and it was feeling cold in the room. We went down for dinner which was very good, it was only 6pm, we were both going to have fish & chips but they advised there was only one portion left, so my husband chose something else, the young girls serving were very pleasant & friendly, we mentioned after our meal regarding the radiator not working in our room and they apologised and said they would turn it on? We asked for another oil radiator which was no problem and they brought one up very quickly, this then heated the room enough for us to start to feel a bit more comfortable. You can hear the music from downstairs it didn’t bother us as it stopped around 9pm but I can imagine in the summer months when it’s busier /noisier it may be an issue later at night. Had a good nights sleep. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty and the 2 ladies working were very pleasant. Great location, beach only a couple of steps away.

Found this place by accident and glad we did. Booked for dinner. Very well priced wines and beer, food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Service staff were pleased to see us and extremely attentive. Dog friendly, too.

We had an amazing stay at the beach. House B&B in Bude! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our experience truly enjoyable. The food was not only delicious but also showcased local flavours, adding an extra touch to our coastal retreat. I highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing getaway with excellent service and tasty cuisine.

Just had a joint birthday weekend here - fantastic little beachside get away. Food amazing, rooms comfy and cosy, staff friendly and very attentive, location fantastic with the sea and beach right at the bottom of the garden, on site parking. Think we have just found our perfect winter breakaway. Thank you so much staff and owners for a perfect birthday weekend. Julie and Dean x

Really friendly service, and delicious food, loved the eclectic decor, chalkboards with daily specials. I would definitely recommend the mussels. I’ll look forward to returning in summertime when we can enjoy the sunset. Thanks so much. Keep up your good work. Local restaurants like yours are a credit. X
