How this place has stayed in business is one the seven wonders of the world - bad staff. bad room. Bad place. Bad food. Bad beer. Bad shower. Bad bed. Just absolute rubbish. All the reviews are true, I wish I had seen them first, what an outdated pile of junk.

It should probably be called the Inn on the A2, but there is a small pond round the back, and rooms facing that have patio doors and quite a nice view. The other side is the 8 lanes of the A2. Rooms are a very decent times, we'd been at a wedding so maybe weren't at our fussiest but they... More

The rooms were quite large and kept clean, although very dated the linen and towels were good quality. Service really let this hotel down. The receptionist was unfriendly and showed no warmth and awful customer service skills when our card did not open our door, she didn't even say anything just snatched it out of my hands and gave me... I have stayed at this hotel before and it does seem to be getting better. On the 1st Friday of every month they have a club night there and it's a great night aimed at older party goers. I travel up from Brighton to meet friends there. We stay at the hotel so we can have a drink and not... More

We stayed here as we were attending a friend's wedding at the hotel. We had been allocated a lake side room, which was good considering we had paid a lower rate for the room, as it was part of a block booking for the wedding. It was really nice to be able to open the patio doors in the room... More

We visit this charming hotel very frequently, and both my partner and myself are delighted with the service and hospitality, The young bespectacled chap serving breakfast with an uncanny resemblance to Elvis made our stay fantastic , he was very accommodating with our late arrival for our eagerly anticipated full English breakfast and offered us to also select anything we... Went in Dec for Robbie Williams Tribute and New Years Eve 7 Course Dinner and Entertainment. At Tribute the food was ok but NYE the food was absolutely fantastic. The service was outstanding. The waiting staff fast, friendly and so helpful. Both were very busy but the organisation was first class. The entertainment at the Tribute had terrible sound system... More

We stayed for a week over Christmas. We had a warm welcome from everyone. The hotel is warm and clean and the decor is very 1970's. It is far from modern - but then I dont like the cold, clinical fashion! We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nights stay, as we did the first time we stayed and we will certainly... More

We took three rooms at this hotel as were attending a wedding nearby. We originally booked the cheaper, car park (and motorway) facing rooms, but changed quickly to the more expensive lakeside rooms when we got out of the car and heard the deafening noise from the A2. Be aware that this hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms (quite unusual... More

I stayed at this hotel before getting a Eurostar train from Ebbsfleet at an ungodly hour! The rooms are a little dated - or is it retro? but were very clean, well looked after and most importantly warm. I did "upgrade" to a lakeside room for an additional £10 which meant I had a quiet night being a room and... More
