Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not sure what others expect who write the bad reviews. We booked this as it was so much cheaper than booking a travelodge and a park and ride forour van. We got a room for the night and 10 days parking for around 100 pounds. On arrival the longstay car park is huge and obviously very popular but finding a spot was easy and check in was friendly, professional and fast. Our standard room was a nice surprise . It was spacious, had huge bath, powerful shower, huge towels, very comfortable bed, lots of tea and coffee, iron and board, hairdryer, desk and chair and a little table and chairs overlooking the river. Very quiet and very clean. In the morning the transfer was punctual, professional and very comfortable. All the staff were smart, friendly and professional. Pay more and book elsewhere if you want luxury. Can't fault it and will definitely use again.

Went straight through passport control on the way back and cases were there in few mins. Hope this means well for the future. Able to drop case off night before departure which is really useful. Went straight to security-no waiting going out either

Basic but quiet and clean with adequate facilities (towels hairdryer iron tv kettle coffee and tea). Bed comfortable. Bedding clean and pillows good. Restaurant ok, food ok (standard pub type food). Staff pleasant and helpful. Parking good and no issues with booking etc. Able to arrange transfer to airport easily. I would have paid £111:00 for parking at airport but paid £147 for hotel with dinner and parking, worth the small difference for the peace of mind re travel.

Cheap and near airport have stayed before but rooms Run down bed was ok carpet was so disgusting with dirt and stains I kept my shoes by the bed it was filthy Bed was ok for one night bedding clean Noisy all night but expected due to people leaving on early flights and not having much consideration for others ,decent car parking spaces just make sure you log your car at reception Food was nice and bar area has been done up since last visit which was a bonus as furniture stained last time , just need to work on rooms/ corridors

Stayed once before prior to flying and it was okay so booked again . This time not so good No heating at all in the room, you could feel the dampness in our clothes the next morning. The extractor fan in the bathroom is blocked with fluff - useless as a fan The pillows are like concrete. We did ask for extra pillows but was told there wasn’t any, you only get 1 pillow each, Duvet cover too small for bed Kettle didn’t turn off when boiled, really dangerous as the handle was scorching hot. No bathmat in the bathroom - floor really slippy due to lack of ventilation I requested a quiet room but was allocated one very close to some chiller / ventilation unit that ran all night. I wouldn’t stay again after this time. Food is okay Nice toiletries in bathroom Most staff okay Hotel tatty and cold.

The hotel is clean & tidy, the staff have been excellent. The rooms are a little tired, decor wise, but clean and just enough for an overnight stay. We found the bar menu had all the usual suspects on, and it was of reasonable quality and price. The winning points for this hotel are its proximity to the airport and the staff. I would definitely book again when flying from Manchester.

The service from reception staff here was appalling. We arrived expecting to check in at 12pm approximately after a long night flight. We were told by reception that there were no rooms cleaned at that time but the lady on reception and was told to wait as check in was at 4pm. We explained that as an airport hotel we would appreciate a facility to get us into a room for sleep after being awake for 30 hours and we were told that it had nothing to do with reception and they could not help us. Waited till 1pm and asked again for a room still the same reply, non had been cleaned and there was no room available told to wait again. Waited until 3pm by this time we were so tired and frustrated so my husband asked again and still the same answer so my husband asked to speak to the hotel manager to see if they could help. He was told that there was no manager at the hotel at that time and that the problem was with housekeeping who hadn’t released rooms yet. We asked if reception could speak to housekeeping to try to get us a room cleaned to which the lady at reception said that it was not possible for her to speak to anyone in housekeeping. My husband asked if he could speak to the housekeeping manager and was told by reception no he could not we would just have to wait. It was not until about 3-30pm that a room was cleaned. We were tired. Frustrated that no one at the hotel could do anything before this to get us an early check in. Being an airport hotel surely it has a facility to allow guests who return from a flight to gain access to a room for a few hours sleep before their long drive back home, most support hotels allow this but apparently not this one. Appalling service from the reception staff there. I wouldn’t book a room after a flight there again as they will not bend to allow access to a room before 4pm.

The hotel was nice, room was decent, bed comfy. I paid for parking for 4 days as package, filled in my details on the parking eye computer. We left the next morning to fly from Manchester, the transport booked via hotel was great and easy apart from trying get from the bus stop drop off to airport and return with heavy cases. The staff were friendly in the hotel and on bus. Then we return home................ I receive A PARKING CHARGE FROM PARKING EYE!!!!!!!! OBVIOUSLY I APPEALED THIS AS I HAD PROOF I HAD PAID FOR PARKING AND I HAD INPUTTED MH REG DETAILS IN THEIR computer at front desk. I recvd a reply...no apology!!!!!from them but a statement in so many words saying .....we would kindly request you follow the parking terms and conditions displayed on the signage throughout the car park. This definitely has put me off booking in this hotel again, which is shame as it's convenient and had nice stay, I have informed relatives and friends also as some were booking after I had been. I can only suggest if this hotel wants customers then they inform customers of these difficulties. Parking eye trying to get money from people by scaremongering. I luckily still had my email with booking and payment details that I had to appeal with.

Stayed last night before an early flight, room was so dated bathroom door didn't even close..heard other couples saying the same thing. Drinks at bar are quite cheap though. Pillows rock hard hardly slept. Wouldn't stay here again. Best thing about it is the pub up the road.
