The problem with The Grove is that it feels like you are actually staying in someone's house rather than a B&B. The problem is the comings and goings of the family. They are a nice bunch of people but from the moment you walk in you feel as if you are intruding, with family members wandering around, doors open so... More

I stayed here unexpectedly for business and if you're looking for a refreshing change to faceless chains of hotels try this. Victorian house with a lovely garden. Really relaxed atmosphere and close to all the Wilmslow amenities including some very good restaurants. Land lady is very relaxed and friendly, I stayed in a lovely room overlooking the garden - very... More

We walked out of the Grove Guest House without staying. It is well positioned and convenient for town and in a seemingly quiet residential street. We were met by the sight of scaffolding on arrival, which came as a surprise. The inside of the property is currently in a state of faded grandeur and is clearly the subject of an... More

The Grove is set in a peaceful residential street but still close to the town. We stayed in a lovely room with the biggest bed I have ever seen! - The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were clean, well furnished and spacious. The Grove's best asset, however, is the wonderful service of Elvira, the owner. Could not do enough to help,... More

Tucked back in a lovely residential neighborhood, we found "The Grove Guesthouse" a great place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable! The location could not be more convenient. At the end of the day, it was great to come back and take a two minute walk to a variety of restaurants for dinner. Elvira and John absolutely... More

Very nice small guest house just 5 minutes walk from the station. The house is two Victorian villas knocked together. Rooms in modern style - mine was huge. Loads of hot water. Breakfast is served at one large table, all the other guests were really friendly, most were company bookings and obviously staying for some time. They were comparing local... More
