Ok - this was the worst Days Inn I have stayed at in the UK. I needed one that accepted pets, so I chose this one, and the price to stay at Days Inn is really reasonable, but this hotel needs some serious refurbishment.
I made the reservation on the Days Inn website, which shows it accepts pets. I had my small terrier dog with us, so I booked it. Got there - was told that there was an additional 10 pound charge for pets, did I not know that? No - there is no mention of this that I could see on the website at all - just says,"pets allowed."
To give them due credit, the woman at the desk was very pleasant and did not charge me the extra ten pounds. But she told me that the cold water pump wasn't working, so the showers were scalding hot. It didn't seem to be a problem, she said, if you mixed the water in a bath. Was that OK? I wasn't sure, so she called over to another hotel for me, but they didn't take pets. So we agreed to stay.
