This was once a beautiful, and historic hotel with spectacular service. My parents honey mooned here. I went down after a medical trip one week. I took a Haitian translator/guide (thank god!) We checked in, and were told various things to detour us from the room I reserved. Once we finally got the billing straightened out (tons and tons of... more

Indifferent and even hostile reception and housekeeping staff, loss of... more

My partner and I just spent 11nights/12days at this hotel, and well I have not quite seen anything this terrible in my entire life, and I have traveled all over, Africa included. For starter, the hotel IS NOT what they tell you it is over the telephone. They said that is was a beautiful hotel on the beach. First of... more

La Jacmelienne was in my opinion the best hotel i've ever had the chance to stay in. The service;the ambiance;the pool and the food were excellent.Nightclubs are in the area;but not too close for a night out; Bassin Bleu is one of the places i recommend each and every one to visit. Theres a lot of Americains;Canadians;French living in Jacmel... more
