Got in late friday night, to be greeted with excellent dinner suggestion at a fantastic, cheap Mexican restaurant. Wonderful 3 course breakfast the next day served in a beautiful dining room. Such friendly and all around thoughtful hosts. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms too! more

The hospitality at the Inn on Poplar Hill is exquisite. Great place for kids, beautiful grounds, wonderful rooms and breakfasts (and evening cookies and tea). Good base location to see Monticello, Shenandoah, Montpelier (Madison's House), Charlottesville, Fredericksburg. This is a place we would definitely stay at again. more

My husband and I stayed with friends at the Poplular Inn and were very pleased with the accomodations. The bedrooms were large, comfortable and the food was superb. The grounds were beautiful and lots of activities for the entire family. For anyone planning a family outing or visiting with friends this is an excellent choice. more
