Great location, everything in coral bay is pretty expensive though- food especially! Shades has ok food with mains priced around $30 but this is the case everywhere. Rooms are reasonably clean, staff pretty helpful, guest laundry available which is useful.

This hotel is a "resort" in name only. It is also about the only place to stay in Coral Bay, unless you want to stay in a caravan park (where you have a couple of choices) or the backpackers (which looked ok from the outside). The property needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt - very tired looking. We were pleasantly... More

I only had 1 night there, it is very pricey but the staff are really, really down to earth and helpful. The only downer is the inet is very expensive. This place really is the place to stay if you have money to burn (I was on expenses).

The view was quite wonderful, and that is definitely it's best feature. It was really nice to be so close to the beach and the reef. I wasn't overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff and unfortunately their wi-fi was not working that night. We did however enjoy drinks in front of our room in the evening. Having the bar... Given the great location, it would be easy to overlook the deficiencies of this accommodation. However, they could do a lot better. Firstly, it is not a resort. It has a small pool, as many hotels do, and some self contained units, that are reasonable in size, but this does not make it a resort. The food at their cafe... More

Fantastic location and when we called for a booking the friendly lady (Helen) made us a even better deal then there was on the net.The rooms are spacious and clean - kitchenette comes in handy and the bathroom had plenty of room. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming! Great value for money!

The hotel really is in a great location - you really can swim from the beach staight into the coral reef with all its lovely fish. This is not a luxury hotel but it gave us everything we wanted. Our room was large and had very good air-conditioning, which was very important as it was around 38/39ºC all the time... More

I have often read TA reviews where people who haven't stayed at a resort have placed poor reviews and thought why did they do that? Well I would like to write an excellent review about the service given by Ningaloo Reef resort without ever having stayed in the hotel. We were on a 6 week holiday of Western Australia with... More

The best thing about the Ningaloo Reef Resort is its location - it could not be better. Unfortunately the rooms are not particularly comfortable. We had a first floor room with a fantastic view but there were no comfortable seats which would have been appreciated for relaxing in the evenings. The restaurant has very high prices. Breakfast is ridiculous, $17.50... More

Coral Bay is a long drive from anywhere and looks like it will be nice,if it ever gets finished. This 'resort' fits in well. A refurb is needed, but with the great location, the price would probably increase to an even higher level. So just relax, enjoy the large- well cleaned- room, try the BBQ or eat in the restaurant...
