We stayed here for 3 days in February 05 after are three month trip was coming to end, so we have had a lot of hostel to compare with.

The good points.
Its in a fantastic location for Scarborough beach, which is just over the road. the beach is great for surfing or just enjoying the sun.
The staff are very helpful and friendly and sorted out several things for us.

The bad points
Although in a great location for the beach, it is on a crossroads juntion of amain road, which means the noise is pretty deafening from about 7am till late at night. There is no double glazing to reduce the noise, so you will wake up pretty early unless you have got good ear plugs.
The kithen is not in a very good condition, there is no oven to cook anything and only a two ring hob to cook on which is pain when there are lots of people trying cook. The kitchen utensils are pretty sparse and some are broken, it also seems to attract flies which hover around where you... more
