We spent two nights at Comfort Inn Old Town in Portsmouth this memorial day weekend. We initially took a wrong turn and went in the opposite direction to the hotel after exiting from 264 and ended up in a rough neighborhood. I spent one night at the Comfort Inn in Portsmouth and was quite happy with the experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the net connection was peppy, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was above average. Even though there are some language barriers this is a nice place to stay. It was clean and courteous. If they did not have something you needed in your room they got it for you with a smile. The Comfort Inn in Portsmouth, Va. is an absolute pig sty. They did not clean my room and then refused to stand by their "satisfaction guaranteed" policy. The staff there is rude, surly and have a propensity to lie. Stay away from this dump! more
