The hotel is a very nice building. Looks like it is an historic location. Took a while to check in as they did not have many people at the desk. Everyone was nice though. Delivered a presentation to a small business group and found the hotel staff to be incredibly helpful in every way. I even left my laptop power adapter after the conference and they were kind enough to mail it back to me at their own expense. I highly recommend The Hotel Roanoke. more

Hotel and room were tastefully decorated - very elegant. Felt more like a boutique hotel (except for the large size). The walls were a bit thin - I could hear noise in the hallway late at night, but otherwise a very enjoyable experience. more

Arrived and paid cash for my room.....was told room had not been cleaned yet and would only be a short wait. My debit card # was held in case of incidentals. To clarify, we have been managed by Hilton Hotels as a Doubletree property since 1995. Before that we were closed for six years and from 1882-1989 we were owned by Norfolk and Western, now Norfolk and Southern....
A gorgeous, historic hotel located in downtown Roanoke. The recent room remodel freshened up and modernized the rooms, while the rest of the hotel remains beautiful. This was my third stay here. It is very active as a conference center. It has a complimentary shuttle to the Roanoke Airport (trip takes about 15 minutes). My husband and I took a weekend trip to Roanoke, Virginia. We stayed at the Hotel Roanoke. It was a beautiful hotel and gorgeous surroundings. The town itself was small and quaint - not a lot to do within the town but we went to some great restaurants. You just have to look for them! more
