It's worth a special trip to the Founders Inn & Spa just to try one of the buffets in their world-class restaurant, The Hunt Room. The food is excellent, the desserts are rich and plentiful, and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant manager even brought us a complimentary plate of their popular meatloaf dinner so we could... More

This is a family favorite. Our family of five has stayed here three times and absolutely love it. The staff are top notch. The decor is spectacular. The buffet breakfast in the Swan Terrace is legendary. The pool and fitness facilities are wonderful. The rooms are luxurious. The grounds are some of the most beautiful and elegant I have witnessed.... More

We were there for this past New Years Eve weekend. Don't get me wrong, this place is lovely, even if it does have a barracks kind of feel. The hotel was understaffed or so it seemed, and they did not offer room service as they usually do, nor did they offer the cookies at 4:00, one of the restaurants was... More

We were looking for a New Year's getaway and were searching for something within half a day's drive, had holiday charm, and excellent value. Unable to find affordable City options we searched Trip Advisor and found a great recommendation for this facility. I can say that our four day stay was fantastic. Having crossed the mid century age threshold we... More

I typically stay in chain hotels and often Hilton Properties. I was speaking at a convention here and my client booked my room which was lovely: a four poster corner room with stairs up to the incredible bed! I loved it. It reminded me of visiting Grandma. The floral motif was very interesting. The grounds were beautiful and we saw... More

My wife and I stayed at the Founders Inn & Spa last night for our 23rd anniversary. We stayed in a suite with a fireplace. First the positives: 1. The spa treatment my wife and I had (110 minute couples massage - her's Swedish, mine deep tissue) were some of the best massages we've ever had. 2. The food in... More

I had the opportunity to visit the Almond Spa at the Founders inn and it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff was very accommodating and professional. I felt pampered and total relaxed when I left. I plan on making more visits to their spa. More

I have always wanted to stay at this hotel since it's located around the corner from Regent University. Upon arrival I was checked in by a friendly front desk clerk, which is always a nice way to start your time away from home. I had a standard hotel room with a queen size bed. The room was a little dated... More

Our oldest daughter recently moved her family to VA Beach area, and this was our first trip there to visit. The Inn was lovely, very clean, quiet, beautiful grounds, and quite cozy. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub before bed, and the exercise facility was amazing, far superior to any hotel gym we've ever seen! Looking forward to our next trip... More

The service at the Founders Inn exceeded my expectations. The facility, the food, the rooms and the customer service of every staff member I encountered were exceptional from the driver of the shuttle to and from the airport, the registration staff, to the maintenance and banquet workers. It is a beautiful hotel, with well manicured grounds, fountains and walking paths.... More
