My partner and I made a last minute decision to head to the beach for Labor Day weekend. We booked on travelocity and got a decent rate considering we did not plan in advance. My boyfriend had decided agaisnt it simply because "Budget" was in the name. I liked the idea that it was on Atlantic Ave (3rd avenue), so of course I won.
We were really surprised to when we arrived at the size of the room, decent with two beds and clean. There was also a small balcony and a kitchenette - microwave, small frig and sink. The hotel was nice for our purposes, but I would not have stayed for a more than 2 or 3 days.
The hotel staff was very nice and we recieved 2 weekend passes to the American Music Festival. Friday night we saw Boys 2 Men in concert, so that was a pleasant surprise.
The downside of the hotel was the bathroom. It was very small and the water drained very slow. It was clean, just old and need of remodeling. Let me say this -- if we were traveling with our... more
