This hostel was a nice relaxing place for a week for me. I enjoyed exploring the beach and the town area. I didn't find the front desk staff friendly but I did meet some nice, interesting people. The kitchen needed a cleaning and the building needs a handy man (or woman). The location is what sells it. Its not the typical... More

I was placed in the Virginia Beach area for work and was assigned a different extended stay hotel at first. That place was terrible so I simply walked the boardwalk to find a different place. From the second I walked in to the second I left it was nothing but excellent service and friendly people. The facility is why i... More

I have been travelling in the US for 2 months and this hostel is a good base to enjoy the delights of the town. The guys that run the place have a set of rules and if you stick to them you will have no problems here, all 3 of them on reception during my stay were helpful but you... More

Three of us stayed here and it was not the best experience but it was definitely interesting. It was very hot in the rooms. The showers were creepy. The place could use some renovations for sure. It was close to the beach, though, and that's all we really cared about. Oh, and you have to pay $10 for parking, which... More

This hostel is located two short blocks from the beach and one block from all the action! I have stayed here 3 times and will keep coming back. This is a great place to travel on a budget and meet people from all over the world. One evening I asked the owner for a seafood recommendation and he suggested that... More

he was the manager I think but I didn't even care to ask at the time because I was rather irrational at the time and just wanted to remove myself from the situation before it got out of control. I called previously to reserve a room 2 weeks in advance and they said it wasn't needed, that there was going... More

In a few words, here is my story. I called this hostel to get a room for 2 days. The manager told me that I had to stay a minimum of 3 days and that there was nothing he could do to help me. So I managed to find a hotel in Hampton wich suited my budget. I got to... More

Grim looking hostel with terrible service, very unpleasant atmosphere and we left covered in insect bites. It may be cheap but it's still too much to pay for this place. We made three attempts to make a reservation via telephone as we were travelling from Washington DC, only to be told they don't take reservations, and then on arrival they... More

Angie's is great! It is no longer a B&B, despite being listed as such on some sites. We stayed in the off season (1 week in late September) and really enjoyed it. There are two apartments with a lot of charm and ambience (these were built in the early 1900s), several modern cottages and a youth hostel. Angie's is great... More

Great service from staff and Manager, Brad. The queen and king rooms are affordable and clean. The queen room has a small private porch. It's basically a nice home-like studio with hotel service. 2 blocks from the beach and 4 blocks from the supermarket. If you like a more cozy feel this place is for you.
