Spent 2 nights in June while visiting the historic sites around Williamsburg. Close to Colonial Williamsburg. As others have posted, this was previously a Hampton Inn. It is older and worn. However, like most places; you get what you pay for. If you spend a lot of time at the hotel and want a great pool, you probably don’t want... more

We spent several nights here in early July. We found the hotel to be clean, the room a comfortable size (king bed with sofa), and the staff friendly. The refrigerator in the room was a nice convenience. The only slight drawbacks: - The rooms didn't seem very soundproof, and it was easy to hear folks going in and out of... more

Decent place, decor is old and they keep the hallways too hot, but good, basic room that's clean, and that's all I'm really after in a value hotel. Avoid the pool. I don't know if they don't have a filter working or what, but there was hair floating around all over the place in there, gross. Nice location, very close... more

After reading the reviews we decided to chance it anyway. What a mistake! I had some hope since the hotel was once a Hampton Inn (and by the way is still listed that way in the local phone book so beware!). But I was wrong!!! The moment I saw the hotel I wanted to run away screaming and should have.... more

We recently stayed at this delightful hotel while visiting Colonial Williamsburg from the UK. Despite being part of a chain, we were struck by how friendly all the staff were, from reception to breakfast staff, together with the cleanliness of the rooms and communal areas. It was a true find and certainly excellent value for money. Moreover, the position was... more

We spent 2 nights here touring Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. It was a great location and a wonderful price. We used Roomsaver.com coupon. The rooms were clean and even though they gave us a room right off the lobby on the first floor, it was very quiet. It really was!! more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was great! We had a king bed room with sofa and it was perfect for our stay. The bed was very comfortable---we felt like we were at home. The staff was always friendly and very helpful with everything. They even allowed me to go behind the counter... more

Yuk! This hotel was dirty, dark, and damp. We all left with a cold because the AC is horrible, not to mention nonexistent in the halls of the hotel, which ran about 95 degrees or so. The rug in our room was almost wet with humidity, and no fan in the bathroom. The "free breakfast" was a joke - total... more

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this Hotel. We were having a Girls Shopping Weekend . The room was nice , Even tho our window looked out at the pool, It was very quite. We were treated well by all the staff we saw. The only --- was that there was NO ICE MACHINE on the First Floor. That didn't... more

Thank you so much for staying with us at the Best Western Historic Area, I am sorry to here that you were inconvenienced. When coming to a hotel unfortunately, if you leave a credit card imprint (to be paid in the morning), that credit card must still authorize for your total room cost. Unfortunately your credit card declined for 1...
