We've frequented the Super8 chain from Maine to Arizona, but this stay was the coup de grace. We checked into the room, which was spartan, but liveable, and went to a sporting event at William & Mary. A train runs right behind the place,blowing the horn! The walls are paper thin so any noise from outside or next door can be heard. The continental breakfast is a jug of juice,a jug of milk,and a box of doughnuts,which must be eaten away from the tiny lobby. Super 8 hotels are normally a good choice for budget travelers looking for a clean place to stay, but this hotel is just plain nasty! The carpets were badly stained, the room was dirty, and we spent most of our stay killing bugs. The TV didn't even have a remote. YUK! more

Train went by every couple of hours blowing its horn. That was the good part. Carpet was dirty and matted. Beds were hard and dented from people sleeping in them.
