Every year my high school girlfriends and I go to a new place for a long wkend, W'burg was our destination. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Steve who commenced with the "rules". Each of our spines went ram rod straight. We were then given a tour and history of the home...our spines began to loosen up. Once we girls... More

A Boxwood Inn is in a great location and very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, at just a half-mile walk to the top of Duke of Gloucester (DOG) Street. The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated, and the owners, Steve and Sandi, are very nice. Sandi’s breakfasts are a real treat – we particularly enjoyed the waffle with fresh strawberries... More

What a fabulous Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are out of this world. The best restaurant in town could not top the delicious meals we were served! The hosts, Steve and Sandi, were warm and friendly, and full of local knowledge. You can leave your car parked at the Inn and walk to the historic... More

This was a wonderful place to stay. Located right in the heart of Williamsburg, we walked into town and just a short drive to local restaurants. Steve was superior and the food excellant. We stayed in the Jefferson Room---totally loved it, our next trip we are staying in the Cottage room. Its was well worth our money!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Boxwood Inn in the Washington Carriage House room for a weekend. We chose the room in particular for its gas fireplace and two-person jacuzzi; we were pleasantly surprised by the overall size of the room and its lovely, inviting decor. The website's pictures don't do it justice. The room was quiet and we... More

We stayed at the Boxwood Inn last Friday and Saturday night. Steve, our Innkeeper, was gracious and knowledgeable about this area, since he attended William and Mary College in Williamsburg. Their Christmas decorations throughout the house were beautiful and gave us that little extra after-Christmas spirit to help fight the bitter cold with. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we... More

There are Bed & Breakfasts retreats in Williamsburg that just feel like home -- and the Boxwood Inn is one of the best. This is a wonderful B&B without some of the tacky and trite trappings of others nearby. The Boxwood feels authentic, comfortable and inviting. We had the privilege of staying in the Washington Carriage House, which proved to... More

I used the B&B website to make a reservation only to get an email the following day stating they could not accomodate my request. After receipt of the email I contacted them to discuss the problem and I was told they were using this room to accomodate another family. I was asked to change my dates of travel or switch... More

We make every effort to keep our reservation calendar up to date. We did offer this room to another family, who made the reservation for the room on November 13. Regretfully we did not update webervations. Within 10 minutes of your request, we offered you other dates, and the following day offered an alternate room on the date in question,... More

My husband and I stayed 6 days at Boxwood 10/20 to 10/26/12. We stayed in the Carriage house. Boxwood Inn and owners Sandy and Steve exceeded our expectations. The room was beautiful - 4 poster bed, very nicely decorated, clean, and very quiet. Location is the best. We did not move the car for two days. only 1/2 mile to... More

Once again, we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during a beautiful autumn weekend at The Boxwood Inn in Williamsburg, VA! We stayed in the Jefferson Room this time beautifully decorated and appointed with an exceptionally comfortable king sized bed. The owners, Sandy and Dal, consistently provide excellent service and a scrumptous full sized breakfast each morning. I appreciated the fully stocked... More
