Charming, pleasant, clean atmosphere with character. We spent several days exploring Orcas, staying at the Buckhorn Farm B&B, which is about 2 miles out of Eastsound. Set in a nice garden meadow, this cottage is very comfortable, clean and nicely appointed-- a small guest house with kitchen, adjacent to a 100 yr old Craftsman style home. The fruit trees were abundant, and we enjoyed walks to the nearby beach. That was the first time, and we came back the next year in the spring, which was even more beautiful.
This is a good choice for people who appreciate simple character and real wood. The owners are a cool couple --artists, teacher and gardener--who gave us some good advice and turned us on to a local concert which we enjoyed.
