Came up to Crystal Mt for a friends wedding, and one of the ski patrolers recommended staying at the Alpine Inn. What an amazing old school gem! I ski all over the world, and this place reminds me of some chalets in Austria I stayed in last year. Really simple rooms, Armour, couch, bathroom. No phone/TV for some nice quiet... more

I arrived and received my key, old style like everything else. got to my room where it is plain jane I mean no amenities other then a bathroom and couch. it comes withbig cabinet which I guess is a closet but who knows. No safe place to keep my belongings. I then went for a hike which is beautiful and... more

We love the Alpine Inn! Perfect for families looking for it all under one roof - restaurant, deli, bar ,nice, clean ,cozy rooms +ski in/ski out location can't be beat. Family owned and operated gives the Alpine Inn a friendly and inviting atmosphere and a welcome retreat after a fun day on the slopes. more

Mt. Rainier National Park is something everyone has to see and a great activity for out of town guests- which is how we stumbled across this charming mountain retreat tucked away in the mountains yet just 2 hours from Seattle and 6 miles from Mt. Rainier National Park. All the hotels are surrounded by alpine peaks and hiking trails. The... more

We found that the Alpine Inn was in a lovely location and looked nice from the outside. The room was clean but very small. We had planned on sleeping on the fold out bed and had been told over the phone that this would be acceptable, however, it was extremely uncomfortable, you could feel every spring all night and my... more

I suspected the rooms might not be too nice since there were absolutely no pictures of the rooms to be found on crystalmountainlodging website. Upon making my reservation, I asked several times about the condition of the rooms and was assured they are clean and not too out of date. Well, I'm not sure what decade they are living in... more

I guess if you are stuck in a snow storm and there was no food for a hundred miles and they were giving it away, then eat up at the Alpine Inn. Otherwise, brown bag it. They charge $33 for their signature plate; Elk Steak. I've eaten shoe leather that was eaiser to chew and when it was brought out... more

Sorry Northern washington - Crystal Mt gets a 3 out of 10......IMO I thought I'd give Crystal Mt a try - heard a few things about it - like it was really a skiers area - very true! Not much for boarders to do - and it's quite the drive to get there. The staff was friendly - at check... more

Alpine Inn was in a beautiful area, with lots of scenery and hiking. Rooms were dumps to say the least. The first room they put us in was very small, about maybe 10 feet by 7, not much room besides the bed. THEN WHEN WE PULLED THE COVERS BACK TO GO TO BED, A BUG FLEW OUT AND THERE WERE... more

The Alpine Inn is nestled behind the trees on the same property as 2 other Crystal Mountain Inns (Village & Quicksilver) and is steps away from the ski resort. It's an older property that hasn't seen many renovations since my grandparents used to hang out at there in the 50's, but the price reflects this. If you are looking for... more
