Should not be advertised as a B&B...It has no views of anything, no balcony, patio, privacy, overpriced and so on. Describe what it is. Overall a 1 star out of 10. I've stayed at numerous B & B's and hotels, spas and resorts and rarely am I ever disappointed. At least offer something and decorate the rooms... more

My husband and I spent three nights at Mt. Baker Bed & Breakfast in September 2008. We reserved Room #3 which has both a private bath and private entrance. It was perfect for our needs with a small fridge, microwave, table and couch in a living area, and a separate bedroom with a queen bed. The rooms and bath were... more

We stayed four nights in the cabin (a flat over a detached garage.) While the accomodation was very clean and comfortable, we were terribly disappointed to find that the hot tub outdoors was not functioning. I had expressly voiced my desire to have access to a hot tub in phone and email communications with Vel prior to our arrival. I... more

Yes, the hot tub was down during this stay. This happens. It has nothing to do with my honesty. The review neglected to note the discount we gave them for their inconvenience. Please note this is not a review of Mt Baker Bed and Breakfast.

This one's not for the luxury lovers but I completely disagree with the low rating! Nestled at the foot of Mt. Baker, where snowboarding and skiing are prime, Vel & Jacques provide a comfortable, affordable spot to grab some winks and work out the kinks after a hard day on the slopes. Breakfast is now ensuite and the hot tub... more

I have been staying at the baker b&b for about four years now. Every year i go back they make it feel like home to me. They started out cooking breakfast, and then in the last year or so they moved to a traditional style of letting us cook food that they had in a convenient location outside the rooms.... more

This was our fourth trip to Mt Baker, and we wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else. We love it. It is very clean and comfortable and all your needs are catered for. There is so much to do in Glacier you shouldn't be staying in your room too long. Jauqes & Vel are the only travel guide you need, and... more

This was one of the worst, if not the worst, lodging experiences we have ever had, especially at the prices charged. While $120 would be a reasonable price for a night at a bed and breakfast, this lodging does not qualify. It is a room in someone's basement, and a poorly insulated one at that. The "breakfast" consisted of bagels... more

Yes, the location is nice, but this is not a true B&B. If you rent one of the two ground floor rooms, remember that you are basically staying in the basement of someone else's house. You will hear every footstep made by the innkeeper. These basement rooms are bare and dark with few comforts. The "continental breakfast" is basically cereal,... more

We received a gift certificate from a family member for a stay at this B&B while we snowboarded at Mt Baker. Neither my boyfriend nor I have have ever encountered a person more rude than Vel and Jaques. Vel was completely insulting over the phone, and Jaques was the same in person. They were completely unaccomidating about our schedule to... more

This customer had a gift certificate for a one-night stay and was irate that she could not book a Saturday night only in advance during peak ski season. She could booked the Saturday the day before if it was still available or she could have booked two nights and used the gift certificate for one of the nights. The purchaser...

Let me start out by saying the owners, Jauqes&Vel were the most hospitable hosts we could have asked for. Upon making our reservation Vel realized they too would be on vacation that same week. Never the less, they left the keys on the counter to their cabin, and we were able to enjoy one of the most memorable weeks of... more
