I come to Kent on occasion and this was the second time I visited this hotel. I have always found that the rates here beat most all other Holiday Inns in the area, I m guessing that the one in Kent is a little off the beaten path for a stay in the Seattle area. This place is clean and convenient, and the staff are reasonably friendly, but it isn't up to Holiday Inn Express standards, let alone Holiday Inn. This hotel has a complimentary deluxe Continental breakfast with hot eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy and much more. They have a free airport shuttle which we used and the shuttle service was very prompt. They have high-speed Internet access which was great because we could print off our airplane passes the night before. The room was large and very clean.... more
Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Room was a nice size and very clean. Large pool and very warm hot tub. Breakfast was generous, lots of selection including freshly made waffles. Guest laundry was very clean on extremely reasonable. Staff was extremely polite and friendly. My husband booked a room with this hotel for eight nights to visit his family for the first time in four years. Since we were staying so long we needed a kitchette due to health issues we both have. This hotel is old and is in need of major updating. Good points: friendly staff, nice pool, microwave in the room, cost. The "Oh my God" points: beds are old and hard, wall air conditioning/heating unit is as old as dirt and the knobs wouldn't turn, small vanity space, outside doors, two stories and no elevators that I could find... more
