Having seen La Conner Channel Lodge on a previous visit, it was hard to rein in expectations as my wife and I pulled into the parking lot for a recent overnight stay. Given a choice, it's the kind of place we always like; smallish, appealing to the eye, nice setting.... And Channel Lodge is all of that, on the outside,... more

Stayed here for two nights preceding a bike tour for which the group was meeting here and staying an additional night. Arrived tired after a transatlantic flight and found complimentary wine and nibbles waiting for us to enjoy on the terrace while someone played the piano: a very good welcome. Made it easy for us to talk to other guests,... more

My wife and myself spent one night mid-week to celebrate my birthday. We got a Queen room at a discounted pre-season rate, so it was good value. Normal rate would have been much higher. Our room was very clean, chocolates were left with a "Happy Birthday" note and bathroom ammenities were high quality. Good breakfast, cookies and cookie in the... more

My husband and I have stayed at the Lodge almost every year for over 10 years. When we first started visiting the rooms they were quaint, clean and romantic however... through the years things have gone down hill. The cleanliness is not very good they really need to give the rooms a GOOD cleaning, there is a funny smell when... more

We were offered a 'view' - turned out to be the parking lot. REALLY,really noisy - heard the same comments from other guests in the breakfast room the next day. We made the mistake of visiting the last weekend of the tulip festival - DON'T. more

We booked this place for a weekend getaway and were pleasantly surprised. On weekend evenings there is a wine reception with a live piano player. We sat out by the channel in a most relaxing setting. The continental breakfast was more elaborate than most. fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, boiled eggs as well as the typical breads and muffins. The staff... more

Very spacious, comfortable rooms. The fireplace was a plus, but it didn't put out much light or heat, but I'll take it over none. Bed is comfy, and they supply plenty of pillows/cushions. The continental breakfast is amazing! It is furnished with much of what you would want, short of an omelet chef! It's very classy, and you get food... more

Great location, right on the water in La Conner. My room had a gas fireplace & very comfy bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful...suggesting places to eat, etc. The breakfast was free & good...granola, fruit, toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, sweet breads and muffins, juice, coffee, etc. I was there for work, but it would be the perfect... more

My husband and I stayed at the wonderful Channel Lodge for a quick weekend getaway. We were very pleasantly surprised by the room - the photos on the hotel's website do not do the rooms justice! The location is great - right in the heart of the quaint little town of La Conner, and right on the Swinomish Channel. We... more

We try to stay here about 4 times a year, Valentines, 4th of July, our anniversary, and for the boat parade. Staff remembers us, and always set up the room to our liking, they have heavy comforter covers on top of their down duvets, we have them removed for our stay. If you get the chance to come for the... more
