We stayed here for a simple reason: At the height of the Tulip Festival, it was the only B&B we found that had a reservation for the night we were visiting. It was a good choice. An old farmhouse, tastefully decorated in a manner fitting for an old farmhouse. A comfortable common area. We stayed in Unit 1, on the... More

We came to Laconner in the tulip season and we booked early but many places were already full....luckily, because that got us in to the Queen of the Valley Inn. It's a great place and the hosts are wonderful. What's unusual for a country B&B is that there is not a single frill or doily in the decor - totally... More

Just this last weekend my husband and I stayed here for 2 nights for our 2nd anniversary. It was the first time at a B&B for both of us. We stayed in the Africa Room. It was wonderful! The bathroom was tiny, only a toilet, but there was enough room to sit on it and that's all the room needed.... More

I have visited lots of B&B’s over the years, but the Queen is the only once I’ve visited over and over again; it’s become an end-of-the-year tradition for me and my partner because this place transcends the ordinary. The house is a farmhouse, surrounded by farmland. I always marvel at how beautifully the house is decorated – it feels like... More

i booked our anniversary here based partly on the one positive yelp review, but i'm sorry to say we didn't have nearly as nice a time as that reviewer did. it started great - shelly is lovely, & baked some delicious cinnamon-gingerbread cookies for our arrival. the front room was toasty warm & smelled of an apple candle, quite pleasant.... My husband and I were on a little getaway trip. We found this place online on a trip advisor, we looked online and it looked like a great place. When we pulled into the driveway the house looked old and rustic, it had a lot of charachter and charisma. When we walked inside though it looked like a dungeon. It... More

We are sorry these guests had a bad experience. If they had come to us with any problems we would have done our best to rectify them. We agree the inn was dark when they arrived. It’s August and to keep the inn cool and keep our energy use down we do something rather old fashioned, we close the blinds.... More

Our 2-night stay was very enjoyable. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night, determined to avoid the weekend crowds of the annual Tulip Festival. We succeeded -- only one other couple on Sunday night, and on Monday night it was just us. The hosts must have been tired after a long weekend with a packed house, but Shelly's energy... More

We travel a lot in Europe and like to stay in Pensions. This beautiful home and the accommodations were reminiscent. We were recommended the “Queen” by some fellow travelers. They were right. We fell in love with this 100 year old farmhouse that has been remodeled and restored. It was extremely comfortable and we actually wanted to stay two more... More

Shelly and her family treated us like family for the two nights we stayed in their comfy, beautiful home. Delicious breakfasts, great music, - Shelly even serenaded us on the piano. Her restored 100 year old home is centrally located to explore the valley and the town of La Conner. Need suggestions for where to go and what to eat?... More
