I've stayed at the Oceanside Resort 3 times now. Nov '08, Feb '09, July '09. I've never had a bad experience. The place is VERY low-key. I like that though, you're left alone. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite in the new Thunderbird Motel. We booked this researvation sight unseen (at the time there were no photos of the Thunderbird on the Ocean park website) and were quite nervous, but the suite was lovely, done in neutral tones with nice touches. We stayed two nights and it was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We didnt have any problems. I didnt want to leave. Its a place I would love to take my family to enjoy the nature that is so close by. more

I spent the night July 30th in one of the cabins with three friends. (There is a two night minimum stay requirement over the weekends.) The cabin was very clean, but much smaller than it looks in the photos on their website! The ladder to the loft was somewhat of a challenge, I would recommend it for teenagers or children.... more

The hotel/campground/cabins are in a beautiful location overlooking the sea stacks and surf. We didn't experience any rudeness from the front desk staff, but they weren't overly friendly. The cabin was cute and newly renovated, but the bed was small and the loft was covered in graffiti. The worst part was the smell of the cabin - not sure what... more
