My sister recommended this place, and it has changed our view of the season. We went in the first week of December - snow and ice everywhere, quiet, even for the weekend, and utterly spellbinding scenery - magic even. They had a "Christmas Carol" play in the chapel, that not only set the mood for the Christmas season, but was... more

My husband had stayed at Sleeping Lady for the WA State Cultural Congress gathering, and he loved the experience so much, he wanted to share it with me. He especially requested a cabin by one of the water features, but when we got there (in Feb.), he realized his mistake. 2 feet of snow covered everything, including the fountain (turned... more

I had heard a lot of good things about this retreat so I booked the Eyrie, which is the most expensive "suite" they offer. Remember that this property prides itself on eco-friendly construction and being part of nature as opposed to the mega resorts that are environments unto themselves. As such, the property has a bit of a "summer camp"... more

Very interesting property (worth reading about on their website). Totally gorgeous surroundings, very friendly staff, great and plentiful food. Good pool and outdoor hot tub. The basic rooms are charming and more than adequate if not terribly luxiorious. I consider myself a fairly fussy customer and I would be happy to stay here again. You have no idea that you... more

I just spent a weekend at Sleeping Lady where my friends held their wedding. The entire resort was occupied by wedding guests and it was nice to be at one location without having to drive for the whole weekend, but not feel claustrophobic at the same time. It had a rustic feel without being shabby. The room my friend and... more

We fell upon this place by accident, but decided upon seeing it that it would be fun to try. I'd recommend it for a relaxing, art-filled retreat with incredible scenery and great food. Highlights are watching the big salmon in beautiful Icicle Creek is still fishable apparently, watching falcons(?) soar over the creek, chipmunks crawl the huge boulders, sitting in... more

We celebrated my mother's 75th birthday at the Sleeping Lady recently, there were 13 or us, including 6 children. Sleeping Lady is that rare gem where all age groups and tastes are met with high approval. The kids played in the snow, skiied at a cozy, local ski hill, and played in the game room. But, best of all, there... more

We usually approach family get-togethers with a little trepidation because of the amount of cooking, cleaning, or entertaining it involves. The Sleeping Lady Resort made it possible for all 24 of us to spend a relaxed, fun Christmas vacation together - definate quality time! Though the gang ranged from age 15 months to 70 years we found plenty to do... more

This year will be our fourth annual get-away to Sleeping Lady. We first went there as a couple and had a great time cross-country skiing all day and then enjoying the fabulous gourmet meals. We now have a child and our daughter loves meeting other children in the dining hall. They keep each other entertained as we eat. It is... more

My family and I went to Sleeping lady April 2002. It was peaceful, clean and the food was excellent! My daughter enjoyed the birds, she still talks about it to this day. The sound of nature was so relaxing, my daughter didn't mind the fact that there was no TV in our room.I have never slept in soft comfortable beddings... more
