My wife and I have travelled all over the word with our 3 kids. This is the only place we return to every year. It is a long drive from Calgary but it is beautiful and worth it! This is, by far, the best family vacation spot for small children ever! Quaint and not as busy as the Canadian side... More

My fiancé and I were lucky enough to stay at this amazing property a couple of years back and all I can say how magnificent, family friendly and truly magical it is! We live in Australia and just wish we could make this a part of our expanding families annual holidays, we hope to return soon though!!!!

I stayed at Veranda Beach Resort for a week while on work travel. I was in a two bed, one bath house. The houses are so amazingly laid out and tastefully decorated. Someone was concerned about staying out here, and I told them "it's better than home." What I mean by that is that the lawn, the gardens, the house,... More

We just returned from our 4th year at Veranda. We had never had a problem before the staff was always very helpful and accommodating until this year. We have an older dog that always comes with us, so we specifically ask and pay for a pet friendly cottage. We arrived late and were frantically unpacking and putting away groceries as... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Please understand this during the hot summer months, critters such as ants sometime find their way into our cottages and cause discomfort to our guests, so in order to minimize this, we place ant traps in the most common places just like one would do in ones own home. I... More

We just came back from our second trip to Veranda Beach. We love it to death. There simply is no other place like this place. The property is magical: quaint and well-appointed single family cottages with huge screened-in verandas set among sprawling expanses of lush lawns, where packs of wild (or at least feral) children run amok playing tag, throwing... We have stayed at least once a year since the cottages were ready. Have magical memories of each visit, especially the time spent with family/friends on the huge screened porches at night. Love the white picket fences, window boxes & green lawns to the beach. Everything is so pristine, yet family friendly. A little slice of heaven on the quiet... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom Peterborough in an excellent location (103 Bootlegger Lane). Pleasantville is what came to mind as we approached the charming resort. The cottsge is well appointed with a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a huge screened veranda where we spent most of our time. It was bonus not having to shoo away bugs because of... More

We spent a week there last summer and rented two cabins with another family. Check in was a breeze, even though one of us arrived fairly late at night. Beautiful and quaint cottages, and I generally found he staff to be very friendly and helpful. Couple of small points: dogs running freely were a bit of an issue while we... More

We knew from the minute we arrived that we were going to enjoy ourselves. The cottages are just like the ones you picture in your dreams but better. We were there mid-september and it was so quiet and peaceful. The pool and beach were fantastic and we spent most of our time there. My husband was happy with the gym... More
