They are old, but they are wonderful !!! If you stay in the officer row ( besides the brick house) you will have 2 bathrooms. Don't be afraid of dated furniture,,, The park has much more to offer then it's furniture. Fort Worden is such a nice place to go to !! Wonderful surroundings, just a great place. If you... more

I love the Port Townsend area and the Fort Worden location is outstanding. However, do Not stay at the Castle unless you don't care about strangers peering directly into your windows, taking pictures of you through your windows and even opening your front door and walking directly into your dining area. There is no indication for the large numbers of... more

Although the accomodations were a little old and musty feeling (we stayed in one side of a NCO duplex), they were spacious and clean. The reason you stay here is the history and the state park grounds. The landscape is incredible and the sights immense and add the history of the base to it and you get a one of... more

We have stayed at Fort Worden State Park on several occasions both camping and lodging in the old houses. We loved every time! My husband loved it so much he asked me to marry him at the Blissful Vista house. We continue to visit, as every visit we have another adventure. If you love biking, hiking and tide-pooling this is... more

Fort Worden is absolutely a great place to stay. I stayed in the Officer's Row houses which is such a great deal. Unlike some people who may not appreciate and understand that the period furniture has a theme and adds to the mystique of the whole park. It reminds you of a time that has long since been past. All... more

We stayed in the 7E house. I was told that this was one they have recently remodeled so it was in good shape, no broken dishes, and very enjoyable. It did lack towel racks in the bathrooms but a minor inconvenience. I guess I looked at our stay as being in a historic rustic place, not a 5 star hotel.... more

We stayed for 3 nights in unit #325, the only unit available Easter weekend (March 24-27 2005). This unit does not fulfill the website promise of authentic victorian furnishings. The unit is a 3 bedroom (2 Queen, 1 Twin) 1 bath house that has been remodeled to be ADA accessible. Furniture was basic 1970's trailer park. There is no view... more

Give 'em a break! For less then $200 a night you get the best deal in the PacNW. Be sure to check-out one of their newly refurbished O'Row houses which the "Friends of Fort Worden" have been lovingly working on. Only through dedication and LOTS of hard work could they have stripped away 50+ years of paint to recover some... more

Yes, the houses are old. If dishes without cracks are important to you or if you spend a lot of time in the bathroom, Fort Worden housing may not be for you. However, if you want to take your family to a safe place with trails, beaches, historic military sites, and a lighthouse (that you can visit with a res.... more

If you love dank, dirty surroundings with furniture that is so old and dirty you hestitate to use you will love the houses at Ft Worden State Park. The house was so musty that we opened all the non screened windows for fresh air and tolerated the moths and bugs. We spent one night on "Officers Row" which is the... more
